Portland Photo Diary

Hi loves! As promised here is my Portland Photo Diary. Last week Lukie and I decided to take a quick trip to Portland to kick off our summer break and celebrate our coming senior year. We stayed at a cute studio Airbnb close to Alberta street. It was so cute and quirky and perfect for the two of us as we ate and shopped our way through Portland.

We went to sooooo many restaurants and each one was SO GOOD and SO HIP. On our first night we went to dinner at a restaurant called Luce. It was DELICIOUS and such a great atmosphere. If you ever go there you have to get the ricotta cheesecake. For breakfast we went to Milk Glass Mrkt, Sweedeedee, and Waffle Window. We also went to Luc Lac, Petunias, and so many other random little places.

We shopped on Hawthorne street, 23rd Street (the alphabet district), Alberta street, and the Pearl district. I swear on each corner there was another adorable boutique that we couldn’t resist going into. I picked up so many fun pieces that I can’t wait to style for you guys. PLUS there’s no sales tax in Oregon, so that was a major bonus.

Lukie and I had a great trip! If you’re in need of a fun little get away, Portland is the place to go! We also went rollerskating at Oaks park. There are so many fun things to do, I wish we had more time to explore. Talk soon!

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

Hi everyone!

I hope you all are doing well! This past weekend Lukie and I took a trip to visit the beautiful Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. It was so beautiful and the tulips were in full bloom. We left Tacoma around 12pm on Sunday and it took us almost 5 hours to get to the actual tulips because of traffic. Also, when we entered the destination on google maps it took us to the actual Skagit Valley Visitor center in town. If you haven’t gone before I recommend entering “Tulip Town” into your GPS because it’ll take you to the general vicinity of the three main tulip fields! We spent all of our time at the main field which was absolutely gorgeous. We started by wandering the actual fields around rows and rows of tulips. We then made out way over to the pretty tulip garden and then grabbed a snack! I had a hot dog and Lukie had a cookie and hot coco. The weather may not have been perfect but we got lucky and thankfully it didn’t rain on us! I had so much fun at the tulip festival and will definitely go next year (hopefully on a sunnier day). If you’re having doubts about going, don’t! This is such a fun opportunity to snap some pretty pics and spend quality time with the ones you love.

Talk to you all soon! Xo! L

Victoria, Canada

Hi everyone!

Somehow (4 papers and 2 final later) I have survived finals week! In honor of being done with school my boyfriend I escaped to Victoria for a few days. While we were there we visited the Butchart Gardens and the Empress Hotel. Every year the Butchart Gardens puts on a Christmas lights walk, complete with ice skating, carolers, and delicious food. It was impossible to be grumpy (or stressed) when surrounded by so much Christmas spirit. On our second day we went to the very recommended high tea at the Empress Hotel. It was fun to have such a lavish afternoon and to treat ourselves with mimosas and sweet (and savory) treats. The rest of our time was spent wandering around the streets and meandering in and out of cute local shops. If you’re looking for a quick get away I highly recommend Victoria.
